Harvests in Bairrada dealt with in the regional press
Harvests in the Bairrada region have already started. The regional press has published information about perspectives for this year which, according to the data published in regional newspapers, will be a good one.
The (newspaper) Região Bairradina refers that "everything indicates the year will be a good one in what concerns wine production and quality as the sanitary state of the grapes is good and they are in a good ripening condition."
According to the (newspaper) Jornal da Bairrada the grape harvest will be "high in quantity and quality."
The CVB (Comissão Vitivinícola da Bairrada) explains that early grape harvest was due to the fact that some more precocious wine varieties needed to be plucked by mid August. In what concerns quantity they predict a production very similar to the one from last year, namely a medium/high one.
