Rol de Coisas Antigas in the ranking Enthusiast 100 of the Wine Enthusiast magazine

The Bairrada wine Rol de Coisas Antigas 2008, produced by Adega Camplargo is one of the six Portuguese wines appearing in the third ranking of the Wine Enthusiast magazine, dedicated to the 100 more exciting wines
Along the year, the team of the American magazine tasted more than 16000 wines. These tastings resulted into three rankings: the Top 100 Best Buys (where the relation price quality is important) the Top 100 Cellar Selections (best wines with aging potential)) and the most recent Enthusiast 100 where you can find wines for the weekend, the ones we drink with customers in restaurants, wines for special occasions. That is, wines we would like to drink more often, as the magazine explains.
In the final list you can see six Portuguese wines from different regions. 78th position belongs to the Rol de Coisas Antigas 2008 (Campolargo, Bairrada), that scored 92 points. The Enthusiast 100 ranking can be seen here.

On the 28th from last month, the Comissão Vitivinícola da Bairrada (CVB) organized a dinner in Quinta das Lágrimas in Coimbra. It was one more initiative inserted in the program "Apoio à Promoção do Vinho e Produtos Vínicos no Mercado Interno" (Support to the promotion of wine and wine products in the internal market).
Specially assigned to the regional media, this event tried to show the modernity and dynamism of the Bairrada region as a whole, by presenting some of its best white, rosé and red sparkling wines.
This dinner is part of a set of initiatives meant to show the Media the potentiality of Bairrada wines to go with cuisine of great quality using first-class products according to traditional recipes or more innovative ones. And this was just the case in the restaurant Arcadas da Capela, in the Quinta das Lágrimas in Coimbra, the only one in the Centre of Portugal awarded a Michelin star.
