Laboratory EVB
The current wine chemistry laboratory of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries Center, is the former Laboratory of the Bairrada Wine Station, created in the late nineteenth century.

It is accredited by the Portuguese Institute of Accreditation, according to NP EN ISO IEC 17025 since March 2007 for the implementation of analytical tests in wines. Currently has 6 accredited testing and is being extended to two new studies.

This laboratory is integrated and dependent parent of the Division of Licensing and Support Laboratory of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries Center (DRAPC) and is located on the premises of the Bairrada wine station in Quinta do Paço in Anadia.

It has modern facilities and analytical technology, enabling them to respond with quality and speed to the demands of its customers.

To ensure the quality of analytical services provided, participates monthly circuit in international inter-laboratory organized by BIPEA - France.

The Laboratory provides analytical services in accordance with the standards, recommendations, specifications and regulations in the wine sector.

The activities of the Laboratory of Chemistry wine are under the services described above, the following:

  • Perform laboratory testing of wine and other wine products supported in the provision of quality control and technical assistance on request to other entities related to the wine.
  • Perform laboratory testing necessary for a proper regulation of the product.
  • Perform other tests to support laboratory experiments and others which are above certain.
These activities are implemented, taking into account that the elements of the Laboratory are free, independent and are free of abusive or coercive influences, internal or external, and ensure the confidentiality of customer information, thereby safeguarding the impartiality and integrity of its performance.
