Acquired in 1997 by the Guedes family, Quinta D'Aguieira has 20 hectares dedicated to wine production that gives rise to unique, exquisite wines and sparkling wines acclaimed by critics and specialty magazines. The great sparkling wine produced at Quinta D'Aguieira takes the property's name and is made using the traditional method with the Chardonnay, Cerceal, Bical and Maria Gomes grape varieties. The still wines are produced from red grape varieties and carry the hallmark of the Follies brand: Follies Touriga Nacional, Follies Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon and the Grand Follies.
