Adega Cooperativa de Cantanhede, founded in 1954, is located in the Bairrada Demarcated Region, more precisely in Cantanhede, where winegrowing dates back to Roman times and where we find the main vineyard of this region.
Currently with about 1400 associated wine growers, this winery is the largest producer in the region, representing 25 to 30% of the production. It certifies half of its production with the Denomination of Origin Bairrada, assuming an outstanding leadership in this segment and also in the Beiras Regional Wines.
The consolidation of the philosophy that guides its production process and the strategy implemented to put it into practice culminates with the obtaining of Quality Certification by NP EN ISO 9001:2000 and the implementation of HACCP in 2007.
The diversity of its portfolio includes Sparkling and Still Wines with Denomination of Origin Bairrada, Regional Beiras and Table Wines, all in red, white and rosé varieties, as well as Liqueurs, Vinic and Bagaceira Spirits.
